It’s a crazy upsidedown world in building materials… #HomeDepotPricing. Taking advantage of high demand items?? Wow, outdoor rated wiring (UF) is always at least 20% more than indoor (NM). This is because UF wire is waterproof, Sunlight, moisture and fungus resistant, encased in solid gray PVC (much more expensive to manufacture) It’s the same exact vinyl coated solid copper wires inside. The indoor version (NM) is more popular, so I’m guessing the HD pricing algorithm jacked the more popular #NMwiring up! Looks like our new dryer run is gonna get waterproof, outdoor wiring- saving $40.00
