Rift Sawn White Oak Mantle 12×12

Our neighbor had to take down his dying white oak. Sad story, but it had to go. He let me carve out a few slabs and this 8 ft long 12×12 which I rift sawed. It’s a beast! Probably take three years to air dry before I plane it down for our fireplace mantle.
